• Green Sharpening Paste is coarse with a particle size of 6 microns and should be used on a very dull edge. Otherwise use Red sharpening paste.
• Used to facilitate sharpening of the straight razor. It also treats and protects the leather in the strop. 

Sharpening paste is applied to the strop leather before every sharpening. The strop has an outer side and a leather side. Pull the straight razor approximately 15 times on the outer side to warm up the blade. Then pull the blade another 15 times over the leather side using the strop paste to sharpen the blade. This should be done before every shave with the straight razor. 

You should NEVER pull the knife with the edge first, it destroys the precious razor. Do not wash after sharpening , wash only after shaving. And be sure to wipe the knife to avoid stains.
