Rated 5 out of 5 by from This has me embracing my inner Shania Twain Well call me Shania because "Man I feel like a Woman!" and its about time I master my genetic disposition of looking like a woolly mamoth... Certain my Mother bred with a silverback gorilla or a babboon to get my sister and I.... Okay so it is time to shave my Winter Woollies (legs) for my third round.... I can see Visable results after 2 treatments! 5.5weeks WOW! ☆ Reduction in hair growth... hair is shorter than usual much slower growth. ☆ Thanks to completing treatments as part of my Saturday night indulgences (with a few vodkas and movie late at night); I can see that my treatment should be done without these late night indulgences. I have some spots on my knees I missed along with a few lines up and down my calf here and there. No missed spots on the under arms or snail trail. Chin hairs appear to be all but gone 2 treatments. I am seeing similar results to those my sister got with laser treatments! This is so gentle I am going to use it on my daughters legs (12years) and aggressive I will recommend it to my sister who embraces her inner Agro without the aid of laser and or other hair control (regular ppl call it hair removal). Reports of a rubber band are true however if this is uncomfortable dial the intensity down a few notches to find yuppie comfort zone :) The after feeling is kind of like wrapping your legs in a warm towel. The first dozen Zaps startled me. I thought I was going to die blind thanks be to what felt to my eyes a lightning bolt shooting out of the machine ( best not to do this in the dark with movie mood lighting until you are use to it. You get use to this which to me is the most uncomfortable thing about the IPL treatment. The machine works well in large and small areas. It is bulky however provided you have the flexibility of a pregnant woman no further along than her 2nd trimester you should find this just as easy as me. This product was worth waiting almost 3mths for the order to be filled due to the warehouse having no stock at Xmas and it being so popular.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than previous IPL machine I previously owned the SmoothSkin Gold IPL (same price) but it was annoying to use because it had to plugged in the whole time plus it wouldn't let me choose my own setting (auto skin detect feature locked in the setting and removed personal choice). I now find this Phillips product much more user friendly and controllable. The free app teaches you everything you need to know and sends you reminders when your treatment is due again which makes it very simple to use. I use this for my chest, stomach and feet. My girlfriend uses it for her legs, under arms and small facial area. We are much much happier with this product.

I would like to know what the warranty is that covers the product. Is the 2 year warranty apart of Phillips or the shaver shop. I have just spoken with someone who has the same model and it only has 12 months under Phillips.

How many times does the machine flash per second? Dose it have the continuos flash setting?

The device has a slide & flash mode where you can hold down the flash button and it will continuously flash at intervals until you release the button. When plugged in it will flash every  approx every 2 seconds and unplugged every 3.5 seconds. hey once the 250,000 flashes are used does that mean you purchase a new machine?

I am naturally blonde and my hair is isnt white blonde but it isnt brown. Its more golden blonde would this work?
