Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gentle on the skin I've been using Philips shavers for 23 years (this is #3) and this new shaver has to be the best on my sensitive skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not bad for a 70+ yr old who has never been able to use an electric razor A bearded 70+ yr old, I originally grew a beard because no razor - electric or wet blade - ever left my skin smooth and not irritated. Fast forward 55+ years, many wasted attempts at different brands of razor, and then I discovered the Philips 7000 wet & dry shaver. Wanted to use it mainly for those short holidays and hospital inpatient stays, and when I just couldn't be bothered doing the whole bladed shave thing. Must say, this electric razor rocks. Always gives me a reasonable shave on the neckline (which I can't even get with a blade, unless blood is involved !) - not particularly close, but acceptable. Not as 'squeaky clean' a shave on the face as a wet blade - but perfectly acceptable. I may even be going over to using it every day ! And, as a gadget freak - absolutely LOVE the automated cleaning system. Not used the trimming blade yet, so can't comment on that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice little shaver Have had a Phillips before but the battery had lasted out its life and was only lasting one shave if that. Enter the Phillips S7310. Couldn't be happier. Have had it for a few weeks and still haven't needed to charge it. Use it almost everyday. For me it does a good job. Only two issues I can think of that has nothing to do with the functionality of the shaver. The first being removing the shaver head and removing the blades for cleaning. Can sometimes be tricky trying to remove it. Still haven't figured out how to do it as I do have slightly shaky hands at times. And the second is the case. Nice little case that houses the shaver and it's attachment (which I have rarely used mind you) but not the charger. But as I said these don't affect the functionality of the shaver. So 5 stars from me.

Hello does the 7000 shaver come with a clip on cover that covers the blade and head when not in use please?

Asked by: Dazzlla
No it doesn’t but it needs one. Phillips tell you not to wipe the heads as it may damage them. But it’s alright to put the shaver in its travel bag & have the heads rub against it.

Is this rechargeable? Can it be used in the shower?

Asked by: Paul
Yes & Yes. BUT the shaver is typical of all battery operated shavers. You will never get a shave as good as a blade (Woolies do s good cheap one at $6.50) . I also find that it takes a while to get a shave, but that said I am not sorry I bought it but I still use a blade if I want a good shave.

as I am strong user ,sometimes twice a day, are replacement blades available & at what costs

Asked by: Anonymous
I think it's the worst electric shaver I've ever used.  Plastic and flimsy. Don't waste your money on new blades.  Get a new shaver.
