Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it This is the first epilator I've ever used and I'm glad I bought it. It is easy to use, the results are fantastic (much better than shaving or waxing for me) and the battery life is long. I love that it has attachments for the epilator head, an electric razor and exfoliating heads. It was somewhat painful the first time I used it on more sensitive areas, but i understand that all epilators are like that. Almost no pain in sensitive areas on subsequent uses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT Like the previous review I was so impressed with the Shaver Shop (North Lakes) service. I ordered on Sunday, within an hour I had an email from the Shaver Shop and Austpost to say my order had been processed and was ready to come to me. Now that is service. In relation to the product, I will admit I have also been a afraid to use an epilator. I recall my mother buying one of the first models in the late 80's and she complained about the pain. For my mother, this was big. However, after 2 years of waxing my own legs (yes I was very late to that too), I decided that I could endure an epilator. So, mine arrived yesterday, I charged it and off I went. To say I love it is an understatement. I use to spread my waxing sessions out for as long as I could because they were time consuming, messy and sometimes painful. With the SensoSmart Silk-epil 9, you can be having your morning coffee and sorting out a nice smooth set of pins, ready to tackle the day. I say go for it ladies, I know I love mine already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely worth it First of all - I ordered this on Monday and had it by 7am on Wednesday morning so I was impressed regarding the fast shipping from the Shaver Shop. I read a few reviews regarding several different epilators and if it wasn't for the 40% off the epil 9 I would have probably purchased the epil 7 because from what I had read the device is the same except the epil 9 has more attachments. When it comes to shaving - I am so lazy, it's my least favourite beauty routine, so bad I literally hadn't shaved since the start of Covid (judge me I don't care haha) so my hair on my legs was quite long. Probably too long for the recommended length in the instructions, however it did pull the hairs. I won't lie, the sensation does take a little bit of getting used to. It's no where near as bad as I thought, I'll often get my legs waxed just because it is convenient but that can be quite expensive over time and I also don't particularly like the pain. I would liken the pain of the epilator to IPL - I had an IPL Brazilian and under arms done and I always say it's like a rubber band being snapped against the skin. You do get used to it. It took me about 45 mins for both legs, I filled the bath and sat on the edge. Now that was hard work, not going to lie, and it's most likely due to the length of my hair but the majority of my hair was gone with the exception of a few strays here and there. I have super fine hairs which I just couldnt pick up, but you can't see them and that's mostly my concern with hair removal. You're not going to have super smooth legs but the hair is gone. I went over it again in the morning on dry skin and found that to be more effective. I also used a high moisturizing body wash and exfoliated with the exfoliating attachment after just to avoid any ingrown hair issues. When I tried it in the morning and on dry skin I didn't think the pain was any where near as bad. Maybe I knew what to expect this time not sure. I totally recommend this to anyone looking to start epilating. I don't have anything to compare this to as it is my first time and first epilator. I love the light on the device it helps to locate random hairs, I don't think I will use this on my face as i use a different product for that but I love it and wish I had started sooner.

Never had any experience with epilators and after trying everything, from many different shavers, to different types of waxes and creams, THIS is by far my favorite. When shaving no matter what brand I use I end up with a bumpy rash that itches and everything else I find too messy. Laser is not an option because I take hair growth vitamins so this is just amazing for me. Super easy to use, leaves my legs and arms so smooth, no more rashes, wish I had tried this sooner. Highly recommend!

I see this comes with a massage brush head. Is the massage brush head made of silicon? It says not to be used on the face, is that correct?

Hi yes it can be used under your arms, be aware that the skin in this are can be a bit sensitive but the more you use it the more you get used it this applies to any area you use it on

So this is called an epilator but it talks about shaving so does it actually pull the hairs out or shave them off? I want to purchase it to do my daughters lip and leg hair but want to ensure it is not going to shave.

It has both an epilating and shaving head. I use it on everything hair grows back in 2-3 weeks
