Electric Shaver Maintenance

A simple cleaning routine can keep your shaver performing at its optimum level of performance, making for a more thorough shave for longer period and also extending the life of you foils and cutters.

It’s as simple as this:

After each shave, open the top of your shaver and empty the build up whiskers in the hair pocket into the nearest bin.

It pays to use a Cleaning Spray after every use.

After you have opened and emptied the build up inside the hair pocket of the shaver, remove the cutting blades in the correct manner for the machine you have.

Place both the foil and cutter on a piece of tissue or paper, give both parts a light spray with the cleaning spray.

Then using the brush that would have been supplied with the shaver, brush the cutter free of the facial oil build up that is there.

Carefully brush around the outside of the foil housing.

Note: we don’t normally recommend brushing the actual foil, as there is a chance that the bristles on the brush can damage the foil.

Once this has been completed, place all the parts back onto the shaver

Then give thecutters another quick spray with your cleaner while the machine is running. This will leave a light coat of lubricant for the next time you are ready to shave.

It’s as easy as that.

Washable Shavers:

If your shaver is washable, the daily cleaning of the unit would consist of running the shaver under water after each shave. This replaces the daily empting of the shaver.

What we recommend for these types of shavers is, after each rinse under the tap, give your shaver a quick spray with your cleaning spray along the top of the foil while the machine is running.

This will still dissolve the facial oil build up, also helping to dry the shaver out and leave the coat of lubricant of the foil and cutter ready for your next shave.
