The Opportunity
The Shaver Shop is one of Australia’s leading personal grooming franchise networks. We are continuing to grow our business in Australia whilst embarking on a strategic initiative to expand internationally. Currently the experiencing strong growth in store performance and aims to replicate this success locally and abroad. We are looking for passionate, motivated people to join us during this exciting phase.

Growth Strategy
We are committed to dramatically increasing our presence within Australia both in store numbers and market share. Our proven franchise system will be replicated in our international model via the trial and development of our business domestically. Since the first Shaver Shop opened in 1986 we have been steadily growing our footprint. Our stores are conveniently located throughout major shopping centres and on some the best shopping strips in Australia. This growth has been closely matched by the financial performance of the group as a whole.

Brand Credibility
The first Shaver Shop opened 23 years ago and currently there are 57 stores conveniently located throughout Australia. We are Australia’s market leader in the rapidly growing personal grooming, well being and lifestyle segment. Our success lies in our core business of men’s shaving, clip and trim, power oral care and ladies epilators, shavers and haircare. We are also very proud of our increase in brand awareness over recent years. Currently Shaver Shop has the highest unaided brand awareness for any specialist retailer selling personal grooming products in Australia. We will continue to build this awareness through solid marketing and communication plans.

Shaver Shop Culture
Our most successful Franchisees follow our system to the letter and devote their full attention to the business. We are seeking to grow the number of stores by finding people who will match our culture, passion, enthusiasm, motivation and hard work ethic. A successful Franchisee will devote their time solely to their store. They will lead a team of highly trained staff who are rewarded for making their budgets and motivated by their employer. Our Franchise lends itself well to family involvement as is evident in the majority of our Franchisees.

The Products
As the group continues to grow so does our buying power. This is passed on to our Franchisees so that year on year margins at store level can grow. Given the growth in the segment our core suppliers are heavily investing in advertising, for example over $10 million was committed for the 2007 Christmas campaign period throughout our key product lines. Core brands stocked by our stores include Braun, Philips, Remington, Wahl, Homedics, Sunbeam and Sunbeam all strongly branded and marketed within the community. Shaver Shop is constantly reviewing our product mix whilst maintaining a focus on ‘what we do best’ philosophy so as not to confuse our customers.

Support System
At store level you will have regular face to face interaction with our regional managers. They will work alongside you in developing your business to its full potential. As well as this are our Department Managers in Marketing, Operations, Franchising, Finance, Buying and IT. All these specialists are enlisted to support each Franchisee. Shaver Shop has enlisted the services of Deacons lawyers as well as DC Strategy to enable us to grow with the appropriate policies and procedures in place. We are also active members of the Franchise Council of Australia which represents the franchising community to government bodies, business groups and media outlets. Along with this has come the appointment of key team members to the Head Office support team.
